Welcome

Circa 1850 Robert Fortune brought us palm seedlings from China which he hand-reared en route on board ship in a Wardian case.  We still cultivate these same palms today in the heart of our amazing garden. In nature, related species are threatened and, in the wild, 'vie for position in a matrix of diversity that has a time frame of climax, decline and renewal with its own rhythms'.

Be 'with it' and join us in cherishing this very special place; be amongst friends and participate in a time frame and rhythm all of your very own!
